About the material used

The products are shaped by hand from braided multi-layer wire. Although the wire is galvanized, prolonged stay in a humid environment shortens its life expectancy. The structure of the sculpture is fragile, so the more the sculpture is layered, the more resistant it is to mechanical damage. However, with more wire being used it‘s more difficult to shape it. To make the sculptures portable and durable, I typically use at least 4 layers of wire. It takes me about 150 - 180 hours to create one sculpture. The weight of the final product (in life size) is about 8 - 10 kilograms.
